Inform members of special projects to benefit the Soldiers to include special money making activities, holiday cookie boxes, Christmas stockings, and participation in community projects as well. Ships boxes to the soldiers. Contact Annette if you have any questions or have supplies to donate for the care packages sent throughout the year.    SCRIP Cards

Secures Schnucks SCRIP cards which need to be registered on-line with Schnucks. McLean  County HCE benefits by receiving 1% of your receipt before tax. Scan your cards before making your payment.

Once a month on the 3rd Monday, a community service project is held at the McLean County Farm Bureau Building near the Interstate Center off of Market St. Projects are worked on decided by the group OR just bring a project you have to work on. The times are 9-12noon and 1-4 pm. Lunch is bring your own or go out to eat. Come and go as you are able to participate. Sep and Oct projects will be making xmas stockings for the soldiers, Operation Santa.  November project will be making seat belt covers for cancer patients. Bring a sewing machine if you have one. No need to bring material as we have lots.

Scholarship

Home & Family/Food, Nutrition & Health Scholarship for 4-H

 

McLean Co 4-H members who have exhibited a 4-H project in one or more of the above categories at the 2016 4-H fair and 4 other years in their 4-H career are eligible to apply by April 1, 2017. Scholarships will be awarded at the 2017 Annual Meeting in July, 2017. You do not need to be a 4-H member in 2016-2017 year to apply. Applications will be available by October 1, 2016 from the U of I Extension Office, McLean County, 1615 Commerce Parkway, Bloomington.
