June, July and August activities vary per unit.

 

 

JOINING MCLEAN COUNTY HCE

 

THREE TYPES OF MEMBERSHIP

 

Regular Membership -Individual HCE Units COLLECT YEARLY DUES OF BETWEEN $15-$20 FROM EACH PERSON.  $15.00 IS SENT TO THE COUNTY ORGANIZATION FOR EACH PERSON EACH YEAR. 

 

SUSTAINING MEMBERSHIP IS PRESENTLY $20.00/YEAR AND CHECK IS MADE PAYABLE TO McLEAN COUNTY HCE AND SENT TO: Cindy Kelley, 418N Towanda Barnes, Normal, IL 61761(309-663-4796). Instead of attending monthly unit meetings, the Sustaining Member may receive their lesson materials through the mail but may also attend any unit meeting.

 

ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP - For individuals in the same household as a HCE member. Dues are $5/year and member does NOT receive another set of monthly lessons or programs.

 

The Sustaining and Associate Member may also attend any of the unit meetings or meetings in the county and state and receive all membership benefits.

Check calendar on the home page to see available programs and workshops. Recently 80 members and guests (of which 8 members were sustaining members) attended the 97th McLean County HCE Annual Meeting on July 7, 2014. Becoming a sustaining or associate member can keep you as involved as you would like in all the activities that HCE has to offer.

HOME & COMMUNITY EDUCATION MEMBERSHIP

 

OCTOBER IS MCLEAN COUNTY HCE MONTH!

 

There are 9 educational groups throughout McLean County that meet monthly, September through June, seven day groups and two evening groups. This is regular membership. If meeting with a specific group is too difficult, there is Sustaining Memberships where all monthly lesson materials are mailed to you. There are yearly dues collected from all members ranging from $15-$20. (Sustaining Membership is $20.00.) Associate membership is also available when another household member becomes a member for $5/year but the household only receives one set of lessons and fact finds.

 

Those with internet/email will receive monthly Extension Calendars with Extension details about Home & Community Education and other extension related programs and activities such as Agriculture & Natural Resources, Consumer Economics, Consumer and Economic Development,4-H & Youth Development, Family & Consumer Science, Local Food Systems & Small Farms, Unity Community Center. If you enjoy educational opportunities, exchange of ideas, leadership opportunities, community service projects, enhancing the home and family and your individual person as well as bridging friendships that are long lasting, call and receive information TODAY!
